Sir Christopher, a Court of Appeal judge from 2013 to 2017, came up to Caius as an entrance scholar in Classics in 1965, subsequently switching to Law. He became a QC in 1984, and in 1993 was appointed a Deputy High Court Judge and before becoming a High Court judge in the Queen’s Bench Division in 2005. For the six years from 1998 to 2004 he acted as Counsel to the long-running Saville Inquiry into Bloody Sunday. In 2016 he was the Treasurer of the Middle Temple.

He is currently the President of the Court of Appeal of Bermuda; and sits as an international commercial arbitrator.

Sir Christopher became an Honorary Fellow in October 2015.
