A special celebration took place in Gonville & Caius College Chapel on Thursday, as alumnus The Revd Ken Anderson (Theology 1959) and his wife Polly marked their 60th wedding anniversary.

Ken and Polly were married in Chapel on June 6, 1964, and returned 60 years on for the Eucharist service.

During the service they sang the hymn ‘Praise my soul, the King of heaven’ because they had it at their wedding on June 6, 1964.

They were joined by Sue Sewell, who was a bridesmaid at their wedding, and her husband Peter (Natural Sciences 1963), who was a Choral scholar at Caius and sang at the original service.
