  • 23 January 2023

Four Gonville & Caius College alumni were among 95 appointments as King’s Counsel.

These appointments from the 2022 competition are made by His Majesty The King on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, Dominic Raab MP, following consideration by the independent King’s Counsel Selection Panel. The announcement was made on December 23.

The Caians taking silk are Edward Peters (History 1993), Henry Forbes Smith (Law 1998), Marcos Dracos (Law 2001) and Dan McCourt Fritz (Medicine 2001).

Edward is a property litigation specialist, based at Falcon Chambers. Henry, of One Essex Court, practices international litigation and arbitration, concentrating in contractual, commercial, banking, government, energy and technology disputes.

Marcos, pictured right, also of One Essex Court, undertakes a broad range of commercial work, with emphasis on international arbitration, conflict of laws, civil fraud, offshore and CIS related litigation. A man wearing a dark suit and tie and glasses
