Amplify Awards nominations for Cam FM led by Caian

Cam FM, with Daisy Cox (Classics 2021) as Station Manager, have been nominated for eight prizes at the Student Radio Amplify Awards 2024.

The Amplify Awards are organised by the Student Radio Association to celebrate the achievements of stations beyond their final output.

Cam FM, the official student radio station of the University of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin University, have been nominated for Best Station Culture, Best Training Initiative, Best Fundraising Initiative (x2), Most Committed Committee Member (x2) and Outstanding Contribution (x2).

Daisy, who was nominated as Best Presenter for the Student Radio Association Awards in October, says: “This, as far as I'm aware, is the highest number of awards we've ever been nominated for at the Amplify awards, and we couldn't be more chuffed. I am so excited by all of the achievements the station has had in the past year.”

The Amplify Awards winners will be announced at the annual Student Radio Association Conference in Leeds from April 15 to 17.

Cam FM last week hosted a 24-hour charity broadcast in aid of It Takes a City, a local charity supporting and aiding the homeless in Cambridge. Over £1000, plus Gift Aid, has been raised, with donations still welcome.
