Prize/Medal: Remedios Caro Almela Prize in Developmental Neurobiology (2011). The Ferrier Medal (2016), The Champalimaud Vision Award (2016), elected as an International Member of the National Academy of Sciences (2020).

Research interests

Wiring the brain. Axon guidance and mRNA-based mechanisms of axon navigation in the developing visual system. Neurodevelopmental disorders and nerve repair.
