Gonville & Caius College Fellow Professor Annabel Brett is to be one of 30 new honorary doctorates to be conferred at the University of Helsinki. Climate activist Greta Thunberg will be honoured on the same day.

Professor Brett, Professor of Political Thought and History and a co-director of the Cambridge Centre for Political Thought at the University of Cambridge, is to receive one of eight Faculty of Theology honorary doctorates on Friday 9 June.

She has lectured and published widely in the history of late medieval and early modern moral and political thought, with an emphasis on the natural law tradition, Aristotelianism and scholastic philosophy. More recently, she has turned her attention to the history of international law and environmental thinking.
