Gonville & Caius College is celebrating after receiving three Cambridge BID Awards for 2021.

Cambridge BID (Business Improvement District) consists of 1,200 city centre businesses, working together to promote the city.

The eighth annual awards took place last month, with Caius winning awards for Overall Best Customer Service, Best Customer Service within a Professional Business (Other), and Best Customer Service in the University B&B category.

Caius won the Best Customer Service within a Professional Business (Other) category in 2014, were runners-up in 2015 and 2016, and have won on each occasion the awards have been held since.

Caius College Conference and Events Manager Eve Stupart said: “I am delighted that our team has won our category for the fourth year in a row.

“It makes me proud to be recognised for providing great customer service and for supporting our city. We also carried home the Overall Winners Award for the second year in a row for scoring 100% in both of our mystery shopper enquiry calls. We now need an extension to our awards mantelpiece!”

For the first time, Caius won in the College bed & breakfast section for providing a great experience to a mystery guest who stayed one night in the summer.

Eve added: “This is credit to the efforts of the operational teams: Porters, Housekeepers and Caterers, and we look forward to improving on this success in the coming vacation periods. This award will be proudly displayed in the Porters’ Lodge so that everyone will have chance to admire it.”
