Undergraduates

Caius is one of the largest of the Cambridge Colleges, with around 160 new undergraduates admitted every year. This means that there are about 550 undergraduates here at any one time, across a whole range of subjects. Our size means there’s plenty of room for you to find your own niche within a highly supportive community. We offer our students a great deal of educational and pastoral support and we want everyone to get as much as possible out of their time at Caius, academically and personally.

Caius is a meeting of the old and the new. We place a strong emphasis on tradition, like eating together in our dining hall, but we are also distinctly forward-thinking, encouraging ground-breaking research and forging new connections. We are proud of the diversity and determination of our student body and how they build on past traditions, reaching back to our foundation in 1348 to create new visions for the future.

Caius welcomes applications for every undergraduate course offered by the University. We look to admit students of the greatest intellectual and academic potential, irrespective of background. We’re interested in your academic results, your commitment to your subject and your aptitude for high-level study. Each year, around three quarters of our UK offers go to students from state schools and colleges.

Take a look at our Interactive Prospectus for more information about studying at Caius. We are also on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, where we post information and guidance about Caius. You can also read about our students on the Gonville & Caius Student Union (GCSU) website. Do come to visit us at one of our Open Days or, indeed, any time you like - prospective students are always welcome!
